Schedule
Each volunteer can choose what they would like to do:
1. Miscellaneous work projects like painting, building benches, etc. They will have a list of things they need help with and we can choose which ones we’d like to do.
2. We will sponsor a 3-day VBS program in the mornings. Our Christian Ed. Committee will put the materials together to send with us. This will be similar to running our own VBS – a Bible story, crafts, snacks, music, and games. As part of this, Cathy (and anyone interested in helping) will help them work on some songs in order to begin forming a children’s choir/group so they can go sing at places nearby.
Other Things We’ll Be Doing
- Worship Sunday morning
- Country Boil – try a variety of fish (or hot dogs) – a fun, celebratory evening
- Local students will display their Native American regalia and explain what it means
- Visit a nearby Indian museum and spend the afternoon on the beach at the gulf
- Evenings – we will have a time of devotions and talk about events during the day. We will also have time to relax, play games, or visit - free time!
What Should I Know?
- We will be sleeping in beds with air conditioning!
- Avg. Temp. 70-90 Degrees with high humidity
- There may be a group leaving on 6/3 – see Cathy for info
