Daniel was way more than the guy who survived a den of hungry lions!
Daniel was torn from his home and was forced into the king's service. Imagine the pressure of learning a new language and culture — and the shock of discovering your best friends have been tossed into a fiery furnace.
Explore exotic sights and smells in a Babylonian bazaar! Kids and adults will find that they're not much different from Daniel and his friends, who kept their faith in a faithless culture.
Day 1 Bible Point: When things change, God is with you.
Day 2 Bible Point: When you need help, God is with you.
Day 3 Bible Point: When you're afraid, God is with you.
Day 4 Bible Point: When you're lonely, God is with you.
Day 5 Bible Point: When you're thankful, God is with you.
Through specially-designed rotation stations, kids and adults follow the daily model and "time-travel" back to ancient Babylon! In small groups, called Tribes, kids meet Daniel and learn about his breathtaking experiences, go to the Palace Playground for fun Babylonian games, visit the busy Babylonian marketplace for snacks and activities, and much more...
Our annual hog roast and church picnic will be held Sunday, June 24, immediately following worship. Drinks, table service, and delicious, mouth-watering pork roast (with BBQ sauce, of course!) will be provided. Bring a side dish, salad, or dessert to share – or feel free to make a donation to help with the cost of the hog. This picnic will be held INDOORS in the air conditioning! This is also the same Sunday as our VBS program (during worship), and we encourage everyone to stay and enjoy the meal – and bring your families!
