One Question After Another -- Episode 2

One Question After Another -- Episode 2

We are in our second month of looking at a list of questions intended to stimulate our thinking and hearts as we live out our Christian faith. Historically, early Friends called these questions “Queries.” They were commonly used during unprogrammed worship to help turn hearts and minds toward God’s thoughts during worship. These questions are an excellent way for us to consider our faith journey. I plan to address these questions (queries) one at a time in our 2023 newsletters. I pray that you meditate sincerely on these questions in a way that brings closeness and confidence to your Christian walk.

Here is the question for April: "Are you in the daily practice of reading the Holy Scriptures, giving time for reverent waiting upon the Lord?"

Go ahead! At this moment, make a decision to draw a mark across your life’s timeline. After that mark, from this day forward, commit to spending a few moments each day in scripture and quiet prayer and meditation with your creator and savior. You just have to make a decision to do it. There will never be anyone making you. Go ahead! Your God awaits. He waits patiently. Knowing his heart better will change your day, week, and life.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
